SALE Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze, Lily Pad & Frog Tazza Sculpture

$396 USD Offers ConsideredSALE Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze, Lily Pad & Frog Tazza Sculpture

Antiques:By Period, Style
I have not found a signature on this piece but would certainly attribute to McClelland Barclay just by the quality and style of the piece. It is gilt bronze has a bowl made in the shape of a lily pad, along the rim sits a tiny frog. The stem and foot of the piece is truly Art Nouveau with swirled bronze adorned with a small lily pad and finished with a curled lily pad resembling a fish tail. The bowl measures 8" across and is 2" deep, overall heighth is 4" and it is heavy weighing over 3 pounds ...
SALE Antique, Hand-made, Cherry Wood, Poker Chip Holder w/Chips

$132 USD Offers ConsideredSALE Antique, Hand-made, Cherry Wood, Poker Chip Holder w/Chips

Antiques:Accessories:Cherry Wood:Hand-made:Poker Chip Case
Made in the 1920's or 30's, the quality and workmanship of this piece are outstanding. The case is so beautiful, it could sit out on a shelf or table and it looks like a piece of art. It measures 7.5" X 7.5" X 4" and has 4 ball feet and even the knob is cherry. The corners of the box are rounded, not just mitered into a square. Inside is a round piece of cherry wood that has 8 slots for holding a full compliment of poker chips. There is a set of Hoyle chips included but they are not nearly as ...
SALE Antique Oak Fire Screen Needlepoint Hunt Scene--Arts & Craft

$236 USD Offers ConsideredSALE Antique Oak Fire Screen Needlepoint Hunt Scene--Arts & Craft

Antiques:Mantels, Fireplaces:Fireplace Screen:Oak:Needlepoint:Hunt Scene:Art And Craft
A wonderful, needlepoint, hunt scene adorns this beautiful, dark oak, summer, fire screen. The colors are bright and the needle-work is outstanding. This stands just over 31" high and is about 24" across at the base. The only damage is a small nick in the wood at the top which is pictured. I have not taken this apart but the needlepoint could be turned so that it showed on the other side of the wood frame which would make the ding unnoticeable. The base is attached with flat head screws which ...

$180 USD Offers ConsideredSALE Porcelain Art Nouveau Vienna China Candlesticks ca. 1900

Antiques:By Period, Style:Art Nouveau:Porcelain:Candlesticks:Austria
The mark on this pair of outstanding, true, Art Nouveau, candlesticks indicates that these were made between 1890-1908. They were made in Austria and imported by P. H. Leonard of New York. They are in exquisite condition with NO chips, cracks, fleabites or crazing. Each one is hand painted in gold on a silver, luster-ware background. They stand 8" tall and the bases are about 3" square. Both are marked on the bottom with the Vienna China trademark.
SOLD Houze Glass Yellow Pony Rocker Blotter

SOLDSOLD Houze Glass Yellow Pony Rocker Blotter

Antiques:Accessories:Houze Glass:Pony:Rocker Blotter:Yellow Glass
Made in the 1920's or 30's by Houze Glass Company. This great, yellow glass blotter glows nicely under black light and is an opaque glass. It still has one of the metal clips and surprisingly it is in excellent condition. I can't find any damage, there is a thin, black line around the center of the horse but I don't think it is a crack, it may just be a line in the glass. It is very tight and did not come out with a washing. This is 4" long and 2.5" tall--I know we don't use ink blotters anymore ...
