Victorian GF Bookchain Necklace with Tiger Eye Cameo

Mid Victorian (1860's to 1880's) gold filled bookchain necklace has a center piece with a carved tiger eye cameo featuring a left facing male figure, Greek or Roman, in a bezel setting, flanked by faux garnets and flourishes. Fastens with a hidden pressure clasp in the center piece. Bookchain links are decorated with an incised design, measure 1/2 inch across (13mm) and necklace measures 19 1/2 inches long.(48 cm). There is a bale in the center which may have held a pendant or other ornamentation originally, although necklace is perfectly wearable as it is. There is minor age appropriate wear to the bookchain. One side of the center piece has a triangular piece of decoration below the faux garnet which is missing from the other side, although this is not a noticeable flaw.
