Charming older round box with a carved cat atop the lid and carved scalloped beading above and below on the box, along with a scrimshaw floral design with butterfly decorating the center. I believe it is made from antler or bone. Measures 1 1/2 inches high (4 cm) and 1 1/4 inches across the base (3 cm). Over all in very good condition, with minimal wear and normal age related yellowing of the bone or antler, along with needing to be cleaned.
