Beautifully engraved with a floral design that repeats on both sides, this oval shaped gold filled or rolled gold hinged bangle bracelet is marked BBCO for the Bliss Brothers Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts, in business from 1896 to 1950. This lovely bracelet no doubt is from its earlier days, with a "taille d'Epargne" design which utilized black enameling over the engraved design, although not much of the black enameling remains. Bracelet measures 2 3/8" across the inside dimension and has a safety chain as well as a hidden clasp. Width is 5/8". The original owner's initials of A Mc C are engraved on the inside.
