ART NOUVEAU Silver Tone Griffin Pin Coral Glass Bead and Tassel

Unusual and striking pin from the Art Nouveau era has an oval coral colored glass cabochon in a bezel setting with two mythological griffins overlaid on either side. The background has a star-like detail. Below there is a 1 " long foxtail chain tassel. The metal is most likely a silver plate which has worn slightly leaving a gold tone effect. There is an older C catch on the back. Pin measures 13/4" wide and is about 2" long including the dangle. There is slight pitting in the surface of the cabochon and a small indentation is present.
