Charming hand painted oval wooden brooch from Russian depicts a young girl in pale blue dress standing under the moonlight, a pine tree and snow in the background. Delicate gold scrolling decorates the sides of the brooch. There is a lacquered finish. Brooch is 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" and a safety pin embedded in the back is the clasp. Marked on the back in Russian, and partially worn off. Condition is very good, with some age related crazing of the lacquer finish.
