Nicely detailed souvenir spoon depicting the Seal of the State of Illinois on the finial, Aug. 26th, 1818, along with a decorative stem and plain bowl. Spoon measures 4 1/2" long or demi-tasse size. Back of spoon is marked Made in Holland, and there are no metal marks so spoon may be an alloy of silver rather than sterling.
