Pretty floral design finial and stem with a graceful Art Nouveau look on this vintage spoon from Highland, Kansas displays an engraving of a Highland College building in its bowl. My best guess is that this is a sunflower, and although I am not familiar with the college, I believe it must have been around for quite some time judging from the age of the spoon. The spoon is 5" long and is marked Sterling SSMC. My apologies that I am also unfamiliar with the mark.
