Mid Victorian (1860's to 1880's) gold filled bookchain necklace has a center piece with a carved tiger eye cameo featuring a left facing male figure, Greek or Roman, in a bezel setting, flanked by faux garnets and flourishes. Fastens with a hidden pressure clasp in the center piece. Bookchain links are decorated with an incised design, measure 1/2 inch across (13mm) and necklace measures 19 1/2 inches long.(48 cm).
