The round jet black glass beads are attached at each side of the bow. The beads measure 16", with the top of the bow 2-1/4", for a total of 18-1/4" in length. There is a sturdy foldover clasp. The bow itself is 5-1/4" long x 2-1/2" wide.
A matching brooch can be seen on page 182 in the "Unsigned Beauties of the Modern Era" section of "Masterpieces of Costume Jewelry by Ball & Torem. The description reads, "A symphony of black and crystal. This enormous 5.25" unsigned Deco-style bow is elegance (and verve) personified" and priced at $375-500. An appropriate description. Not signed, but should have been. In great condition and a fabulous piece to own and wear!
I have just gotten word that this wonderful necklace is an unsigned Kenneth Jay Lane from the 1980s. Not QVC - I have owned it in my own collection too long for QVC.
