SOLD Hattie Carnegie Oriental Motif Sampan Fishing Boat Figural

This is a wonderful Hattie Carnegie figural as only she could make them. It depicts a Chinese man wearing a rice hat, sitting in the stern of his sampan as it plows through the waves in full sail.

The sail and the hull and water are made of a bright jade-green thermoplastic, each a solid piece that has lots of detail and dimension. The sampan, mast and rigging are a bright goldplated metal.

The brooch is 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" and is signed "Hattie Carnegie" with the copyright symbol in an oval cartouche. It has one tiny manufacturing indentation in the right side of the hull but is in otherwise excellent vintage condition.
