REDUCED Fabulous Ornate Figural Brooch with Gargoyle and Dragons

A wonderfully crafted two-layered brooch with a scary gargoyle face. The first layer is pierced or open back. The second layer is beautifully worked with dragons, fantasy winged creatures and twining foliage around the face.

The brooch has imitation lapis, carnelian and jade stones and a faux pearl accent the imitation ivory face. It is 2-3/8" wide x 1-7/8" long and is 1/2" deep and in excellent condition. No maker's mark but I was told by someone in Florida that a Russian emigre' was making these brooches in the 1970's or early 1980's.
