This lovely brass powder dish features a portrait of an elegant Victorian lady with a flowered hat and, it appears, powdered wig. There is a mirror inside the lid with a label giving cleaning instructions to maintain the brass luster and a glass insert bowl in the base of the brass jar. Both the jar and lid are embossed with several intricate surrounds of braid, florals and scrollwork. The bottom is marked P.N.C.W Made in the U.S.A. It measures about 4 1/2 inches across the base x 2 1/2 inches tall and with the exception of moderate tarnishing and a few scratches on bottom, due to age, the brass jar, its brass lid, the glass insert, and most importantly the celluloid protected portrait are all in excellent condition
