This legendary Texas group dates back to the early 30's when Burrus Mills took a popular radio show to their mill site in Fort Worth and assembled the musicians. They soon began playing local fairs, rodeos, etc. dressed in bakers hats, white shirts, pants & shoes and promoting Light Crust Flour. Bob Wills was part of the original group but was fired for excessive drinking - it didn't affect his career, however. "150 Years of Texas Country Music" was recorded in 1985 for limited edition release in conjunction with the Texas Sesquicentennial and was commissioned by Burrus Milling, which had become part of Cargill. We have two copies, one still sealed ($15) and one open but appears like new ($10). We haven't been able to date "We're The Light Crust Doughboys From Burrus Mills" but the jacket has a zip code so it's probably 70's. We have two copies of this, both open with the shrink wrap still on the jacket, and both appearing like new ($10). Shipping for one album - Media Mail $3, Priority Mail - $5. Shipping for two albums - Media Mail - $3.50, Priority Mail - $6.
