This 294 page hardcover has 11/28/48 and a brief inscription inside but is otherwise in very good condition. By Bascom Timmons, it has a facsimile of a letter from John Nance Garner to him giving permission to use statements he made. The book details the life of the Uvalde farm boy who became Vice President and followed his father's advice to "Tell the truth and be a gentleman". The details of the political intrigue, national and international, during his years of service up to his retirement in 1941 are great reading.
