This Peugeot Freres Coffee Grinder France, c. first half of the 19th Century. Coffee grinder labeled “Peugeot Frères Modele Déposè Valentigney (Doubs).” The company was started by Émile Peugeot as a metal working business manufacturing springs, saws, eyeglass frames and coffee grinders. His son Armand went to engineering school and later developed the company into the Peugeot automobile company. By 1892, the company name was Les Fils de Peugeot Frères, and they had begun to manufacture cars with Daimler engines. Valentigney is a town and commune in the Doubs département, in the region of Franche-Comté, formerly Montbeliard, of eastern France. Measuring 13” D x 16” W x 19” H, Serious Inquiries are Welcome!
