We would like to offer for your consideration this Early 19th Century Black Forest Box. This box is a one of a kind rare to find piece. Sitting atop this wonderful box is a carved hunter with his dog and his pursuit of the day which appears to be a deer.. Notice the carved rifle and hunting bag. The front of the box has a scene with a gentleman sitting under a tree with his rifle watching some steer with a log cabin and trees in the background. The condition is of the box is great with the exception of a crack that runs behind the hunter it is not noticeable when looking at the box but when the box is open you can see it on the inside of lid. This is truly a great old piece. Measures 8" by 5" and 7" tall.. Please view all photos and email with any questions.
