Specializing in Early 19th C English Ceramics & Meiji Era Japanese Ceramics
This plate is attractive enough to hang on a wall, but it would be lovely to see it on the dining table, also.
It is 10-1/4" in diameter, and is in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. The rim is edged in red, and there is wear to the color there.
The Registry mark is unclear, but this style of mark was used only from 1842-67. I believe this plate dates late 1860's. The back is impressed WEDGWOOD (only), and also impressed "PEARL" for the type of body. The Wedgwood date letters are illegible.
