It has Mason's Hydra handle, which was used by many ironstone manufacturers of the early to mid-19th century. An example of this pattern is illustrated in "Godden's Guide to Mason's China and the Ironstone Wares" on page 164, plate 242. The jug shown there is Mason's, c. 1840-45.
This jug has no maker's name. The base is marked with a hand-written pattern number: 750 . Two straight lined tally marks are inscribed in the base.
The jug was professionally repaired years ago. The spout has been re-made. There is one repaired spot on the outside of the handle, and one more small "touch-up" on the body. The quality of the repair work is excellent. I needed to use a black light to be able to report these repairs to you.
