The man perches on an ivory tusk. He once held a weapon in his right hand, traces of which remain. His eyes are glass, his teeth are carved and white.
The ivory tusk is about 5-3/4" long. The man is about 4-1/2" long. His breech cloth is also ivory.
Condition: There were 3 small pegs which held the hunter in place on the tusk, but the only one is left is at his knee. He will still hold his correct position when placed on this peg. As mentioned above, the weapon he held is no longer there. There is no other damage to the carving of the hunter.
Condition: The ivory tusk shows several old cracks, and I just discovered a recent one on the bottom of the tusk, which I have photographed for you. The tusk once sat upon 4 ivory balls which were pegged in to the tusk. Only 2 of those remain.
