Made during the Calvert and Lovatt period, (1885-1890) this fine quality vase is from a line of superior Art Pottery produced at the Langley Mill Pottery in Derbyshire, England at the end of the 19th century. It was made from Derbyshire stoneware clay. It has a cobalt glazed neck and a "dimpled" grey body decorated with enamels and touches of gold. It stands 8-1/4" high.

The marks on the base read: Lovatt Langley Mill England LEADLESS GLAZE Patent No. 8687 . Condition? The lip of this vase has been repaired, and the repair is visible. Please see ENLARGED photos 5 and 6. I know it could be repaired invisibly. No other problems.
