This charming Regency Period Cup and Saucer features the Brighton Pavilion behind a mother with her 3 children. This design is full of action! If you look closely, you will see the toddler is making the family dog sit up and beg, while the oldest girl skips her rope. The mother is holding up the baby's doll.

The method of decoration is underglazed purple transfer, with overglaze colored enamels.

The cup is 2-1/4" high, and the saucer diameter is 5-1/2".

Both pieces are in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs, no discoloration. Both cup & saucer ring when tapped.

Both cup and saucer are marked H & S for Hilditch & Son, Staffordshire. The mark is Godden's 2027, which was used from 1822-30.
