"Derby Garden" Imari Porcelain Hand Painted Cup & Saucer, c.1820

This is a fabulous tea cup and saucer in the intricate and amazing hand painted "Derby Garden" pattern. It was made during the Duesbury-Kean period of Derby Porcelain. The hand painted mark is in red, and was in use c.1782-1825.

The cup is about 2-1/4" high, saucer diameter is 5-1/2".

The condition is very good. There are no chips.no crazing, and no repairs. There is some wear to the gilding along the rims of both cup and saucer. There is a 1/8" "in the making" firing crack on the handle of the cup. The saucer has a good "ring" when tapped, but the cup does not.
