Rare circa 1808 Blue & White Transferware Plate in the "Chinoiserie Ruins" Pattern. Unmarked, as are most Job Ridgway pieces, but pictured in Volume II of "The Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery" by Coysh & Henrywood. The photo corrects a mistake in Volume I, which showed a John Rogers plate instead of this one by Job Ridgway.

The plate is 9-1/2" in diameter, and is quite lightweight. No chips, no visible cracks, no repairs. A glaze skip on the back. There is wear to the surface.
