Mr. Morley bought the Mason's Patent Ironstone molds and copper-plates during this period, and added them to his already well established company. The Mason's Patent Ironstone mark was also used by the Morley Company at this time. (See Godden's Mark Book, page 449.)
The plate has a nice ring to it, and there are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There are 3 tiny pin-prick holes (done in the making), which can be seen in the enlargement of the yellow flower below. The edge of the plate is finished in a brown enamel, and some wear is visible there.
