The bowl measures a bit over 10" (26 cm) in diameter. It is in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing, no wear to the gilding, no repairs. It rings like a bell when struck, and is very translucent.
The mark on the back is Godden's mark 1191 in gold or light brown. It was hard to photograph. Mr. Godden says, "On pre-1830 pieces the mark is in black or colours other than blue". The pattern number is 668 hand painted in red. These clues seem to point to c. 1825 for this piece.
