Specializing in Early 19th C English Ceramics & Meiji Era Japanese Ceramics
The reverse shows a more typical Kutani design of ducks, trees, and flowers. Beautifully and carefully hand painted; I believe this vase dates to the Meiji era.
The kanji on the base reads: Kutani Suyasei , (or, Suya, Maker)
Condition? No chips, no repairs. There are 3 short hairlines on the interior of the vase lip, which do not show on the exterior. There is a photo of them below.
The vase weighs 5-1/2 lbs. un-packaged.
