Specializing in Early 19th C English Ceramics & Meiji Era Japanese Ceramics
The condition is excellent, showing only heavy wear to the gilding of the lip, and a shallow nick on the lip which has been touched up with gold enamel. No other chips, or cracks. The vase does have a flaw in the making. The neck is canted to one side, and is not perfectly symmetrical. The vase displays well from its front, but can look "crooked" if turned in other ways. I have tried to show this in my photos.
The vase is signed on the base. It dates from the late Meiji era, c. 1900.
