Specializing in Early 19th C English Ceramics & Meiji Era Japanese Ceramics
The can is 2-1/2" high (6.4 cm), with a top diameter of 2-15/16" (7.5 cm). It is in perfect condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no wear to the pattern or gilding. It rings when tapped.
This can is unmarked. It has an interesting pattern variation that seems to have been used at Worcester during the BFB period. There are 3 stamens on the lilies instead of just one. I found this variation on an example impressed BFB below a crown. I date this piece 1807-1813.
