Wedgwood Pearlware Chinoiserie Dessert Dish, Antique Early 19th C English

$250 USDWedgwood Pearlware Chinoiserie Dessert Dish, Antique Early 19th C English

Pottery:Antique:Wedgwood
This early 19th C Pearlware dessert dish by Wedgwood was decorated and painted with lovely restraint and lots of white space. The pattern number 1268 is handwritten on the back. "WEDGWOOD" is impressed. I date this dish about 1814. The dish is about 9-3/4" long x 7-1/2" wide. It has an applied foot rim. You can see where the cobalt glaze (which makes this earthenware dish pearlware) has pooled a bit around the foot rim. The condition is very good. No cracks, no crazing, no repairs, and virtually ...
Antique Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Teapot, Elegant & Functional

$195 USDAntique Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasperware Teapot, Elegant & Functional

Pottery:Antique:Wedgwood:Jasperware
This is a large Wedgwood Jasperware Teapot. It is 8-/34" (22.5 cm) from spout to handle, and about 5" (12.5 cm) high. The applied classical motifs are especially sharp. There is a border of acanthus leaves around the lid, and borders of laurel around the spout and handles. The interior shows staining from use, and the finial shows some loss of height at the white circular vent hole. There is also what looks like a "bruise" on the edge of the finial. However, I black-lighted it, and saw no signs ...

This large "shaped" dish is printed in underglaze blue with hand painted overglaze enamels in orange, cobalt blue, blue-green, and gold in a chinoiserie or "Japan" design. The design is of a temple and pagodas with a coconut palm tree. The dish is 10-1/2" long by 8-1/8" wide. There is an interesting applied foot rim on the base. Condition is excellent! No chips, no cracks, no crazing, no repairs. The dish rings when struck. There are some utensil marks, and a few scratches on the blue-green ...

Wedgwood Dinner Plate, Ningpo Pattern, Blue & Red, Antique 19th C English

$75 USDWedgwood Dinner Plate, Ningpo Pattern, Blue & Red, Antique 19th C English

Pottery:Antique:Wedgwood
The Wedgwood Company seems to have made this pattern over quite a few years. It is a wonderful design...I can see why it was so popular. This plate is attractive enough to hang on a wall, but it would be lovely to see it on the dining table, also. It is 10-1/4" in diameter, and is in excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. The rim is edged in red, and there is wear to the color there. The Registry mark is unclear, but this style of mark was used only from 1842-67. I believe this ...

There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. There is some staining to the lid (see photos). There is an "in the making" flaw to the interior of the handle at the top where it joins the pot.
