Huge Antique Staffordshire Pottery Mug with a Chinoiserie Transfer. Made by Beech & Hancock, Swan Bank Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire. The pattern is "Pekin". These large mugs are also called "porter" mugs. The mark is Godden's 313 with the note: "A swan device may occur on some printed marks of the 1862-76 period."
