From the moment I started digging through piles of old dishes at flea markets and antique stores, the Red Willow pattern was one of my favorites....well, of course!....it's red!

I'm thrilled to be able to make use of this broken Willow cup.....turning it into this fantastic cuff type bracelet! The face of the piece measures approximately 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" and covers the top of my 7" wrist....so you can use that as a gauge as to whether or not you have the width to carry this piece.

The china piece has been wrapped and soldered and the knobby design given an antiqued patina. I wanted to be able to snug this piece down on the wrist and used suede lace, knotted with large ornate pewter barrel beads for the strap. The unique slide clasp on the side allows you to create an opening large enough to put your hand through and then tighten it by sliding the bead back up. A custom fit is easily attainable by adjusting the knots and beads on the strap of the bracelet.
