Produced by Johnson Brothers, this pattern called "English Chippendale" was made between 1935 and 1965. The color of this one is obviously red: very Chintz in feel with roses and stylized rose trees. The knob is recessed from the crown of the lid. The dish pattern covers the lid exterior and the bowl interior: the rest is white. The round bowl features a ledge rim slightly scalloped on each side of the handles.

The bowl is 9 7/8 inches and stands approx 4 inches. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or the like to report. A beautiful piece for the collector and a beautiful gift idea.
