Cross Stitched Sampler 1929

This is a charming cross stitched sampler showing upper and lower case letters followed by numbers. The work is monochromatic starting with a neutral cream linen and stitched in shades of brown. A colonial style flower and hearts are positioned below the first line of letters and upon the stem are two birds in grey. The birds are the only exception to the browns. The work is nicely and professionally framed and this is self evident of recent years. It measures 12 3/4 inches wide by 9 1/2 tall including the frame. Full name and date of September 3, 1929 are stitched at the bottom. I see no stains or damage to the work at all.
