"Dressing The Part -- A History Of Costume For The Theare" was written by Fairfax Proudfit Walkup of the School of the Theatre in Pasadena Community Playhouse. It was published by F.S. Crofts & Co. and published in 1947. This vintage book is a comprehensive history of fashion with an eye towards designing for the stage. There are excellent illustrations with pattern making information.

The book is in good vintage condition with underlining in pencil throughout. The book has light blue cloth covers with dark blue embossed titles. It has some wear at the edges as well as some fading at the top and finger wear at the spine. The binding is tight.
