"Wooden Willie" was written and illustrated by Johnny Gruelle This is a 1st edition copyrighted 1927. It was published by M.A. Donohue Company.

Gruelle is probably best known for his Raggedy Ann & Andy series. This book is about another one of Gruelle's lovable characters and features the adventures of Wooden Willie and his friends Beloved Belindy and Marcella.

The book is beautifully illustrated on every page. Even the end papers show Raggedy Ann & Andy leading you to the sight of the story inside.

The book is in fair condition on the outside. The binding tape has been removed from part of the bottom of the spine and the is scuffing on the edges and bumping at the corners.The binding is tight and the inside pages are clean withthe exception of some light pencil marks in the inside front page.

A delightful book from yesterday to share with the children of today.
