Hand Painted Porcelain Brooch or Pin with Pink Tea Roses

Gorgeous, vintage, crescent brooch featuring a pair of dark pink, tea roses nestled in lush greenery meticulously executed in overglaze paints and highlighted with radiant gold, tips. Reversed is a C-catch which was invented in 1840.

According to the author, Dorothy Kamm in her reference book, PAINTED PORCELAIN JEWELRY AND BUTTONS, "the crescent shape is actually one of the oldest in jewelry designs."

Without exception, this hand painted beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
