Absolutely stunning is this large, Limoges jardiniere featuring bouquets of pink roses nestled in lush greenery, twisted vines and sharp thorns. This stunning floral motif is meticulously hand painted against an emerald green backdrop and highlighted with a wide, radiant gold collar. The matching stand is also hand painted in the same rich, emerald green and has four oversized, magnificent gold "claw" feet. The jardiniere alone stands, 7.5 inches; has an opening of nearly 8 inches and, at the widest point, has a circumference measuring 33.25 inches. Mounted on the base, the pair stands 10 inches high. Reversed on the jardiniere is a William Guerin Limoges hallmark used between 1900 and 1932. With the exception of a few light, surface scratches, some paint flakes on both the stand and bottom of the jardiniere where they have contact over the years and, a hint of gold wear, this French beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration of any kind.
