Just about as hard to find as "hens' teeth" are these Limoges deviled egg trays. This hand painted, beauty features bouquets of dainty, purple violets nestled in lush greenery and elegantly framed with a radiant gold rim. It measures, from one ornate handle to the other, 10 inches and, at the widest point, 6 inches. Reversed are two initials impressed in the porcelain (B. P.) and possibly a small, printed, date which has faded over the years but looks like it might be 189.... It also bears a Klingenberg/Dwenger Limoges hallmark used in the 1890's through 1910. With the exception of a hint of gold wear, this French beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
