The two cats on this whimsical brooch appear to be enjoying a late night howling duet. They are carved from wood and have leather ears, long leather tails, bristle whiskers and faceted glass rhinestone eyes of sapphire blue and emerald green. The wooden section is 1-1/2 inches high and 1-1/8 inches wide. The tails are 3-1/4 inches and 2-1/4 inches long. The back of the brooch is stamped "ITALY" and there is a simple silver tone metal pin back with C clasp that has a bit of wear. This very cute brooch is circa 1950s to 60s and is in very nice condition.
