This chunky tie pin features two horses that are painted in dimensional and lifelike horse carvings on the back of the glass. The horses also have realistic blending of color shades in brown and black as well as nice detailing of face structure and reins. Each horse even has a white blaze on the forehead. The glass has a faceted beveled edge and overlays a Mother of Pearl background. The metal is gold tone. The tie clip is 1-3/8 inches wide and 1-1/8 inches high. It is circa 1940s and in wonderful condition.
