Puss-in-Boots Marionette

This is not technically a doll but many people that collect dolls, also collect puppets and this one is interesting. It is pretty old-- I am going to guess from the 50's when kids actually played with stuff like this and listened to fairy tales. This guy happens to be Puss-in-Boots which was quite a character, if memory serves. He is wearing red boots, of course, and his swashbuckling tunic. He is also wearing a Three Musketeers type hat but I suspect at one point it had a feather, which could easily be added. The strings are all there and the puppet is still a working marionette. He is made of papier mache on his head and his body is wood. I did recently put new stuffing in his torso as the other stuffing had disappeared. He is about 11" tall and his eyes are some sort of glassy bead.
