This plush (mohair?) rabbit is 11" tall and is marked "Dream Pet" by Dakin 1961. As I understand it, this company in the fifties began making smaller "dream pets". They continued making these until the company was taken over by Russ and Applause. Sadly, the Dakin entire family was wiped out in a plane crash. Anyway, this is an early stuffed animal and I think it resembles Peter Rabbit. The fur is something akin to mohair--a bit stiff. The bunny's tail has been replaced with new white mohair. I added the vintage blue bow. He comes with a Peter Rabbit pillow. The watering can and carrot are props. His ears are floppy and there is airbrushing creating darker patches on his fur. Cute little guy for decorating at Easter or for a rabbit collection.
