Here goes Abigail off on an errand for her mother. I think the charm of these old chinas is unparalleled. I believe this is a child doll because of its short (almost non-existent) neck and smaller shoulders. She is dressed in a replacement dress of antique fabrics and trims in a child's fashion rather than an adult fashion. Her very nice shoes are antique and the socks are vintage. Her china is free of problems except for the visible hair rubs and her old homemade cloth body is free of leaks or other problems although the feet are very dirty. I really think these dolls tell a story and I always look at them and wonder about her original owner...The little straw hat is older but not antique and has a vintage ribbon.
