Vintage Red Wool coat for Doll

This is a darling little red wool coat for a medium size vintage or somewhat older doll. I am not sure whether it is factory made or homemade. It is even lined with a red silky type fabric and has real pockets and buttonholes. The back has a little self-belt. I envision this on a Schoenhut or Kamkins type doll. I tried it on my large Schoenhut (22"') and it fit her pretty well but to me it looks more like a boy coat. the measurements are: 8" long, 6" across the shoulders and 5" sleeves. the coat boasts a little collar and buttoned cuffs. Really nicely made. It does have a couple spots where the wool has become threadbare (on the back) but not enough to be a distraction.
