I don't quite know what to make of this little painted wooden chicken with a hat... I THINK it is a candy container. It is marked "made in Japan" inside the head which comes off to use the inside container. There are strings that hold the whole thing together. It reminds me of those Russian nesting dolls because of the folk-art type painting. It is really cute and makes a little display toy for dolls. iF anyone knows more, please clue me in! The gown has a crocheted bodice that is trimmed in a beautiful aqua blue and has a matching ribbon that pulls the gown tight at the neckline and the sleeves.
