This Elegant Roses Plaque is "The Pride of the Parlor"..........considered the most important room in the home of the "Victorian Era", where exuberant pieces of art were at display to reflect the family's wealth, good taste and abundance. Among those interesting fine porcelain pieces are the Hand Painted tiles, which drew attention to the fireplace, the focal point of domestic life. This one in particular was painted by the well know listed artist; "E. Reynolds" who created Museum Quality Hand Painted pieces in the early 1900's. This breath taking Century Old Masterpiece display the botanical beauty of Roses in bloom with soft palette color, finely executed in overglaze paints. E. Reynolds signature is proudly displayed on the right-upper corner of this elegant plaque. The condition is excellent, except for the crazing. I have taken close-up pictures to reflect the crazing, but it is Not clearly noticed at normal distance. It is set on a very ornate frame with green velvet matting to enhance the beautiful details of this Vintage Hand Painted Roses. The porcelain plaque measures 8 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. The frame is 13 by 8 1/2 inches.
