Century Old "Heirloom Lilac's".......One of a Kind Masterpiece Painted by American Artist, "Delia Rees". This eye catching and visually stunning set is a truly unique hand painted piece of art which combines the finest antique porcelain Limoges of "Leon Sazerat and Bondeau" ca. 1896 and " Leonard, Vienna-Austria" molds from the same period. This extraordinary artistic work of "Delia Rees" has a voice of its own. This magnificent artist used a skillful technique on the pitcher, where each Lilac petal is raised to the touch. Amethyst purple and Emerald green are the predominant tones, blended with a brushed tan accent around the scroll designs, which is such an intricate raised pattern on the mold. Almost all of the raised areas of the pitcher has been hilighted with a touch of white enamel as well. We have not found a nearly close comparison to this extremely rare and sophisticated masterpiece. Take your time to research and you will discover.....................there is not one like this. The matching plate is a beautiful Limoges blank where the pitcher's enchanted scene reflection has been recreated. A fine brush of gold has been applied to the edges of the plate to create a frame illusion. The condition of these two quality pieces is pristine. The wide mouth pitcher is 8 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches from handle to spout. The matching plate is 8 3/8 inches wide. These pieces are sold as a pair. They've been together for more than a Century (110 yrs.). I am very pleased to offer this Art Treasure of Museum Quality to Serious Fine Porcelain Collectors.
