This is a fine unmarked silver fish shape spice (Besamin) container. It is articulated and made as a fish shape with separate scales, allowing movement of the fish (wagging of the tail). It has fins on which it can stand on and a hinged head with a pinned hook to allow spices to be inserted. It is decorated with superb engravings all over. This silver fish is an absolute must for any serious antique judaica collector. A superb Jewish, Judaica, Hebrew, Israel item. Highly sought after by collectors.
