Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
We do take pride in our special packaging so you can be confident your "prettie" will reach you in the same fine condition in which it was shipped. All items are shipped Insured US Priority Mail or Professionally packaged and sent Insured UPS. We ship within 24-72 hours following payment by money order/cashiers check or once confirmation has been received thru PayPal. Personal checks must clear 14 days prior to your item being shipped. International buyers - required to please only use PayPal.

Restocking Fee:
Non Layaway items: Refunds will cheerfully be given to customers for the full monetary amount (per the terms of Ruby Lane's return policy) less a restocking fee equal to the amount of all Paypal fee charges. Buyer will be responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs. Signature confirmation & insurance is required on all shipment returns! PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE RETURN IS NOT INSURED AND THE ITEM IS DAMAGED DUE TO SHIPMENT, THE BUYER WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED FOR THE PURCHASE. Request for any return requires notification within 3 days of receipt.

Layaway items: All returned items via Ruby Lane's Return Policy will only be eligible for an in-shop credit toward future purchases, as no monetary refunds will be paid for any returned Layaway item(s) or for replacement items purchased with layaway item shop credits. In-shop credit will only be given for the actual purchase price of item less any Paypal fee charges. Buyer will be responsible for all return shipping and insurance costs. Signature confirmation & insurance is required on all shipment returns! PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THE RETURN IS NOT INSURED AND THE ITEM IS DAMAGED DUE TO SHIPMENT, THE BUYER WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR IN-SHOP CREDIT FOR THE PURCHASE. Other Information:
CA residents will also add 8.25% sales tax to the selling price of each item (unless current resale # is provided). I accept payment by US bank check, US money order, US cashiers check, and Paypal. For International customers that are unable to send payment by Paypal, I am happy to accept payment through Western Union. I DO NOT ACCEPT BANK WIRE TRANSFERS FROM ANY CLIENTELE!!!

Questions regarding LAYAWAY PLANS - we are certainly happy to offer a flexible layaway plan for all items. Layaway Plans of 6, 12, 18, and 24 months are available with a 15% DEPOSIT, as follows: Requires a minimum $100 or 15% DEPOSIT (whichever is more) at the time the layaway terms are agreed upon, the balance to be paid by the specified due date. Each specified monthly payment amount (agreed upon at the time of layaway) will be due on an agreed upon date (preferably either the 1st or the 15th) of each month. Many customers may choose to send additional funds ahead of time whenever they are able to do so, in order to shorten their layaway and receive their item more quickly. All layaway payments may be made with a bank check, money order, personal check, or Paypal. When the Buyer's Layaway plan has been paid in full, the item(s) will be shipped to the Buyer.

DEFAULT ON LAYAWAY PLANS - ****if a required layaway payment is not received by the agreed upon payment date, Old Beginnings Antiques does reserve the right to terminate the Layaway transaction without further notice****. The item will be re-listed for sale without any further obligation to the Purchaser who becomes in default of their Layaway Plan, as agreed to at the time of purchase. **** In addition, ALL layaway payments that have been previously made by defaulting Purchaser for the item will be forfeited at time of Purchaser's non-payment/default of their Layaway Plan's required payment schedule – Absolutely no exceptions ****. We are always happy to assist our customers by offering time-deferred Layaway payment schedules, but must require that all such deferred payments be received on time. Thank you for understanding.
